High Surf Causes Closure

High surf has caused the closure of Old Government Beach Road in Waa Waa, according to the Hawai’i Police Department.
The closure is just south of Kuna Street and about a mile north of Sadileck Road.
A High Surf Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for north facing shores with potential surf heights of 20 to 30 feet. A High Surf Advisory is also posted for West facing shores, with six to 10 foot surf expected
The warning is in effect until 6 p.m. Tuesday.
