Construction work being conducted by Hawai’i Electric Light along Highway 19 has been completed.

The work took place between the 24-mile marker in Papa’aloa and the 27-mile marker in Laupahoehoe.

Project completion has improved system reliability, according to company officials. Utility infrastructure was upgraded, which included removing and installing poles and upgrading transmission and distribution lines and equipment.
