huntingHunting at Pohakuloa Training Area has been canceled this weekend as a result of a brush fire and related firefighting efforts in the area.

United States Army Garrison officials made the announcement Friday morning.

Initially, hunting was scheduled to take place Feb. 13-15 within the training area’s Keamuku Maneuver Area for bow hunting of pigs and goats.

Nearly every weekend, Pohakuloa Training Area opens up various portions of its grounds for hunting of a variety of mammals and birds. Permits are required.
