HFD: Rubbish Fire Extinguished on Hoaka Road

Hawai’i County Fire Department fire fighters responded to an unattended rubbish fire on Hoaka Road early Thursday afternoon.
Fire crews responded to the scene at 12:40 p.m. About one acre of clear brush was consumed in the fire. No one was hurt.
The fire was extinguished at 1:30 p.m. and all units returned to their stations just after 3:30 p.m.
