In addition to Goodwill Hawai’i’s free tax preparation assistance for low income families, which kicked off on Tuesday, Catholic Charities Hawai’i and AARP Foundation Tax-Aide are offering assistance to Hawai’i seniors and individuals in need of assistance.

Three locations statewide, including one on the Big Island, are available to Hawai’i taxpayers with low to moderate incomes, with special attention to individuals 60-years-old and over.

Being an AARP member or a retiree are not requirements of the free service.

Walk-in and call-ahead appointments are being taken at CCH’s Big Island office, located in Kona. Tax filing services will be conducted through April 12 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

To schedule an appointment at CCH’s Big Island office, call 491-9085.
