The meeting included constituents on every island and almost 5,000 residents from the 2nd Congressional District.

Congresswoman Gabbard hosted the meeting following the Opening Day of the 2016 Legislative Session. She presented an update on legislation from 2015 and what to look forward to in 2016.

Wednesday’s “Tele-Town Hall” meeting included a question answering segment and topics of discussion, including dengue fever on the Big Island, veterans issues, homelessness, and the high cost of inter-island travel.

The 2nd Congressional District, which Congresswoman Gabbard represents, includes the Big Island, Maui County, the rural and suburban areas of Oahu, and the counties of Kauai and Kalawao.
