Three people were injured Sunday afternoon in an all-terrain vehicle accident in Keanakolu.
According to the Hawai’i County Fire Department, the accident happened early Sunday afternoon at around 12:47 p.m., with the first unit responding to Keanakolu Road at 1:08 p.m.
The area where the accident occurred is described as an off-road trail on state land.
One of the injured individuals was taken by HFD chopper to the Hilo Medical Center, while the other two were also sent to the hospital via ambulance.
