No Tsunami Threat Following 6.7M Japan Earthquake

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center says there is no tsunami threat to Hawai’i following a 6.7 magnitude earthquake that occurred near Hokkaido, Japan.
According to PTWC, the earthquake occurred Wednesday at 5:25 p.m. Hawai’i time.
United States Geological Survey officials say the earthquake was located 31 miles southeast of Shizunai, Japan; 70 miles south-southwest of Obihiro, Japan; 73 miles southeast of Tomakomai, Japan; 75 miles south-southwest of Otofuke, Japan; and 460 miles north-northeast of Tokyo, Japan.
