HHSC Hosts Annual Community Meeting

Hawai’i Health Systems Corporation East Hawai’i Regional Board of Directors will host its annual community meeting on Saturday, Feb. 20 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The meeting will he hosted at the Hale Ho’ola Hamaku’a conference room in Honoka’a.

Board members and regional administrators will give attendees an overview of operations and the financial condition of all the facilities under its watch, and will provide a look towards what’s to come.

“Personal conversations and dialogue with our community stakeholders is absolutely essential in helping guide decisions that the regional board must make,” said Kurt Corbin, chair of the East Hawai’i Regional Board of HHSC.

Members of the public are invited to attend the meeting to learn the current statue of the HHSC, or to share their perspectives and concerns regarding access to health care services.

In 2007, the Hawai’i State legislature created the board under Act 290.
