DPS Seeks to Fill Correction Officer Positions

State officials are looking to fill vacancies for Adult Correction Officers across the state, including several on the Big Island.

Recruitment is open to the public on the Department of Human Resources and Development jobseekers’ website and will close on Jan. 29 at midnight.

Department of Public Safety officials say applicants are required to meet a series of qualifications, which can be found on the DRHD website.

One year of experience that shows the applicant possesses the ability to relate effectively with people in following instruction of a supervisor and giving or exchanging information is required.
