The Hawai’i Police Department has announced the annual traffic pattern change of Kapi’olani Street on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, and on Christmas Day, Dec. 25.

Authorities say the roadway will turn into a one-lane road headed in the Puna, or south, direction between Waianuenue Avenue and Haili Street.

The traffic change is the result of seasonal activities at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Change in traffic will run from 4 p.m. on Christmas Eve until 3 a.m. Christmas Day, and then again on Christmas Day from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
