Phone lines at the Pahoa Police Station were momentarily out of service early Friday afternoon.

The Hawai’i Police Department issued a public alert notifying the community of the outage at 12:22 p.m.

At about 12:45 p.m., the phone service was back in operation.

Should the public be unable to get in contact with a station directly in the future, non-emergency calls can be taken by central dispatch at 935-3311.
