Theft of $15K in Tools, Equipment Being Investigated

A theft over the weekend is currently being investigated by the Hawai’i Police Department.

Authorities say the theft occurred along the Hamakua coast within agricultural land sometime between 1:30 p.m. Friday and 7:30 a.m. Monday.

In total, $15,000 worth of tools and equipment was taken, including two Honda generators, from land along Highway 19 at the 38-mile marker in the Kalopa area.

Anyone who has information pertaining to the case, or the whereabouts of the equipment, should call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.
