Hunting at Pohakuloa Training Area will be placed on pause this weekend as scheduled military training takes place.

United States Army Garrison-Hawai’i officials say hunting is anticipated to resume Nov. 14 through Nov. 15.

Nearly every weekend, Pohakuloa Training Area opens up various portions of its grounds for hunting of a variety of mammals and birds. Permits are required.

To learn more about hunting at PTA, call the PTA Hunter’s Hotline at 969-3474 or visit the U.S. Army Garrison website and click on the “hunting” tab.
