The following temporary weekend road closures have been announced by the State of Hawai’i Department of Transportation.

Hawai’i Belt Road, also known as Highway 19, will be under an alternating single lane closure in both directions between Jardine Road and Old Mamalahoa Highway. The work will run on a 24-hour schedule through next week for slope stabilization.

Continuous activity on Umauma Bridge in Hakalau will cause alternating lane closures near mile marker 16 on Highway 19 to remain on a seven-day-a-week, 24-hour schedule as bridge rehabilitation work is underway. Speed on the bridge is reduced to 20 miles per hour.

All lane closures are weather permitting and have the possibility of changing without notice.
