Military Convoys Scheduled for Weekend Travel

Military convoys of Oahu-based service members are scheduled to convoy between Kawaihae and Pohakuloa Training Area from Oct. 10-13.

On Saturday, Oct. 10, the convoy will travel from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., while on Sunday and Monday, convoys will travel between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

During the convoys, Akoni Pule Corridor, Queen Kaahumanu Highway, Waikoloa Road, Mamalahoa Highway, and the Daniel K. Inouye Highway will be used.

Coordination of the activity in support of unit training has been coordinated by the PTA Department of Army police, local authorities, and military units.

Motorists who plan on using the mentioned roadways during the convoy’s scheduled travels should remain alert and drive with care.
