No Tsunami Threat Following 6.5M Chile Earthquake

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center says there is no tsunami threat to Hawai’i following a 6.5 magnitude earthquake off the Coast of Central Chile.
According to the PTWC, the earthquake occurred Monday at 7:40 a.m. Hawai’i time.
United States Geological Survey officials say the earthquake was located 29 miles west-southwest of Illapel, Chile; 39 miles west of Salamanca, Chile; 54 miles north-northwest of La Ligua, Chile; 75 miles north-northwest of Hacienda La Calera, Chile; and 131 miles north-northwest of Santiago, Chile.
