UPDATE: HPD Locates Missing Honoka’a Woman

Desma Aniban, 42, was located by the Hawai’i Police Department on Friday.

Police say she was found in Honoka’a, unharmed.

The Hawai’i Police Department is searching for missing 42-year-old Desma Aniban.

Aniban, who is from Honoka’a, is known to frequent the Ka’u area. She was last seen in Ocean View on Sept. 4.

Police describe Aniban as 5-foot-3 and 130 pounds. She has brown eyes and black hair.

Anyone with information on Aniban’s whereabouts should call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.

Individuals who wish to remain anonymous should call the the Big Island Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300.
