3.7M Earthquake Near Puʻu ʻŌʻō Crater

A 3.7 magnitude earthquake took place on the Big Island at 12:32 p.m.

According to Hawaiian Volcano Observatory, the earthquake was at a depth of about 5 miles and was located about 3.8 miles south-southeast of Puʻu ʻŌʻō crater, 6.1 miles northeast of Ka`ena Point, and 6.4 miles west of Kalapana.

Individuals in Hilo reportedly felt the tremor. No damage was reported.
