Police Search for Missing Hilo Toddler

A two-year-old Hilo boy has been reported as missing.

The Hawai’i Police Department says that Jonah Palakiko-Lono was last seen on Saturday at Onekahakaha Beach Park in Hilo.

Palakiko-Lono was dropped off at the park to visit with his father, identified as 43-year-old Kaleo K. Palakiko. Palakiko does not have a permanent address.

Police describe the two-year-old as part Hawaiian. He is about two-feet tall and weighs about 10 to 15 pounds. Palakiko-Lono has black medium length hair and brown eyes.

The boys father, Palakiko, is described by police as Hawaiian with a dark complexion. He is 5-foot-9 inches tall and weighs 190 pounds. Palakiko reportedly has black hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a black baseball hat, a gray t-shirt, and gray shorts.

Anyone with information regarding their whereabouts should call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.

Individuals who wish to remain anonymous should call the Big Island Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300.
