The State of Hawai’i Department of Transportation reminds the public that ongoing bridge rehabilitation at Umauma Bridge continues.
Roadwork in the area has caused alternating lane closures near mile marker 16 on Highway 19 on a seven-day-a-week, 24-hour schedule.
Speed on the bridge is reduced to 20 miles per hour. The maximum width for any vehicle with a permit passing on the bridge is 12 feet.
All lane closures are weather permitting and have the possibility of changing without notice.
