The Department of Water Supply says a temporary water shut-off will take place along Na’alehu Spur Road on Aug. 24.

A service change-out will be the cause of the 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. disruption.

Once water service resumes, the waterlines will be flushed and cleaned. As this occurs, customers may notice turbid or discolored water. Trapped air may also be noticed in plumbing but will be released as water is used.

DWS advises customers to take necessary precautions to protect property and facilities. Electrical power to pumps and other devices that are dependent on water should be turned off.
