State Sheriffs Arrest Wanted Woman in Hilo

Chantel Andrade, a woman wanted on a felony indictment, was arrested in Hilo Friday at 9 a.m. by Sheriff Division Fugitive Unit Deputies.

Andrade is expected to be charged with accident involving death or serious bodily injury and driving without a license. She also has one criminal misdemeanor bench warrant and seven traffic misdemeanor bench warrants.

The deputies assigned to Big Island operations will transport Andrade to Oahu Friday, where she will be processed.

According to the Department of Public Safety, if Andrade cannot post bail, she will be taken to the Oahu Community Correctional Center, where she will await her next court appearance.
