Water services have been restored to all areas that were affected by the main break, including Sunrise Estates, Sunrise Ridge, Hilo Hillside Subdivisions, and a variety of neighborhoods in the immediate Kaumana area.
DWS spokeswoman Kanani Aton told Big Island Now Thursday that the outage affected about 1,000 customers.
The water restriction advisory has been lifted and is no longer in effect for area customers.
