Two felonies have been charged to a 29-year-old Mountain View woman who was involved in a Hawaiian Acres burglary.

The Hawai’i Police Department reports that on July 22, a woman returned to her home on Road 9 to find that it had been broken into. In addition to the break-in, the woman found another woman in a vehicle in front of the home claiming to be experiencing car trouble.

According to HPD, the victim called 911 but the woman in front of her home was able to leave the scene before officers could arrive.

On Tuesday morning, Sheri Bowers was arrested by South Hilo Patrol officers on two unrelated bench warrants for failing to appear in court for traffic violations.
