Hilo Man Charged in Iolani Street Break-In

Alan Filoteo, 37, of Hilo was arrested and charged last week after being caught in connection to a break-in that occurred last Wednesday.
The Hawai’i Police Department reports that an individual stole items from a home on Iolani Street in Hilo. Police identified the suspect and Filoteo was arrested the following day.
Filoteo was charged with first-degree burglary, third-degree theft, promoting a dangerous drug, promoting a detrimental drug, and possessing drug paraphernalia.
Bail was set at $11,000 and Filoteo appeared in court for his initial appearance last Friday.
