The Hawai’i Police Department reports that 28-year-old Aaron Raymond Castro, one of “Hawai’i Island’s Most Wanted,” turned himself in on Monday.

Castro was wanted in connection to a robbery that occurred outside of a Hilo apartment unit along Waianuenue Avenue on May 23. During the robbery, he allegedly struck a 30-year-old man in the face before taking a backpack and fleeing the area by vehicle.

HPD charged Castro with second-degree assault and second-degree theft. He was held on $9,000 bail and remained at the Hilo cell block awaiting his initial court appearance that took place on Tuesday.

The episode of “Hawai’i Island’s Most Wanted” first aired on June 12. Castro was featured in the episode, along with two additional wanted individuals, Albert Espaniola Jr. and Peter Fuerte, who are both wanted for contempt of court and for questioning in two unrelated cases.
