Police Locate Hale Nani Escapee in Kona

Twenty-two-year-old Lyndal Gilliland of Kona, who escaped from Hale Nani correctional facility on May 8, has been located.
The Hawai’i Police Department located Gilliland in Kona at 1:45 p.m. on Friday.
According to authorities, Gilliland was charged with second-degree escape after detectives from the Area II Criminal Investigations Section consulted with county prosecutors.
Gilliland is being held on $10,000 bail.
