Police Seek Information in Sunrise Ridge Burglary

The Hawai’i Police Department says it’s seeking public information regarding a February burglary in the Sunrise Ridge subdivision.

According to police, the burglary happened on Ho’okina Place on Feb. 2.

HPD says officers responded at 1:30 p.m., where they found that a safe had been removed from the home. Items, including 12 rifles, three handguns, miscellaneous jewelry, and a large amount of cash, with a value of $22,500, were reportedly in the safe.

Anyone who has information about the incident or who may know the identity of the suspect is asked to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311 or contact Detective Dean Uyetake by calling 961-2379 or e-mailing dean.uyetake@hawaiicounty.gov.
