An autopsy was conducted on Tuesday morning and determined that Dacayanan died of injuries that were consistent with a fall from a height.

The death of Dacayana is the second in the area over the past week and a half. On Wednesday, June 3, HPD identified a body that was found in the Umauma Stream on June 1 as 62-year-old Bobbie “Jackie” Carnathan. Carnathan had gone missing the week prior after spending time ziplining at Botanical World Adventures in Hakalau.

An autopsy revealed that Carnathan died from traumatic injuries consistent with a fall from a height. Foul play was not suspected in her death.
