Ten weed whackers were stole from the Pana’ewa Zoo in Hilo over the weekend.

An investigation is underway by the Hawai’i Police Department, who says the Shindaiwa model T282X weed trimmers are valued at $600 each.

According to HPD, the red weed whackers were taken from the property between 6:45 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. on Sunday. One of the lawn tools was located in nearby bushes.

Anyone with information regarding the case should call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.
