Missing extended furlough inmate John Towle was captured by the Hawai‘i Police Department on May 22. He was returned to the Hawai‘i Community Correctional Center (HCCC) at 3 p.m.
Towle failed to check in on April 30 at the Kona Furlough House.
Inmates in the extended furlough program live and work outside the correctional facility but are required to check in at certain times.
Towle is serving jail time for trafficking meth. His next parole hearing is scheduled in June.
