Pahoa-Area Red Cross Volunteers Sought

The Hawai’i chapter of the American Red Cross is seeking out interested volunteers in the Pahoa area.

Free training for disaster services will be conducted in June.

Those interested in volunteering should visit the Hawai’i Chapter’s Red Cross website and complete an application. After completing the application form, Red Cross officials will contact and sign volunteers up for training classes.

Hawai’i Academy of Arts and Science Public Charter School’s Arts and Science Center will be the site of the trainings on the following dates:

Disaster Services: An Overview – Saturday, June 27 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Shelter Fundamentals – Saturday, June 27 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Disaster Assessment Fundamentals – Sunday, June 28 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW AD

Disaster Action Team Orientation – Sunday, June 28 from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
