After a steady decline in gas prices on the Big Island throughout April, prices appear to be back on the rise.

According to analysis from GasBuddy.com, the average price of gas for Hawai`i County has risen to about $3.24 per gallon, the highest price since January this year.

The AAA Fuel Gauge report indicated the cost of regular gas in Hilo on Friday, May 8 to be $3.18 per gallon.  The estimate is up eight cents from one week ago.  The report does not include data for West or North Hawai‘i.
