The following temporary road closures have been announced by the State of Hawai’i Department of Transportation for Monday, May 4 through Friday, May 8 between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Along Route 11, Mamalahoa Highway, alternating single lane closures will occur in both directions between mile markers 106 and 107. The partial closure will be caused by roadway pavement reconstruction near Honaunau.

From Pepeekeo to Hakalau, a single lane closure will occur in both directions as roadway improvements are made. The closures will take place between mile markers 10 and 15.6 along Route 19, Hawai’i Belt Road.

Continuous activity on Umauma Bridge in Hakalau will cause alternating lane closures on Route 19, near mile marker 16, to remain on a seven-day-a-week, twenty-four-hour schedule as bridge rehabilitation work is underway. Speed on the bridge is reduced to 20 miles per hour.

All lane closures are weather permitting and have the possibility of changing without notice.
