Police Seeking Missing Kona Man

The Hawai‘i Police Department is searching for a 28-year-old Kailua-Kona man who was reported missing.

Mack Kilion was last seen in the Kailua-Kona area on or around April 22 in a 1997 GMC Yukon SUV.  The vehicle was recovered on Sunday, April 26, near the shoreline cliffs at Upolu Point in North Kohala with Kilion’s belongings inside. Kilion was nowhere to be found.

On Tuesday, April 28, firefighters conducted an aerial search for the missing man but turned up empty-handed.

Kilion is described as Micronesian, roughly 5-foot-7, 190 pounds with brown eyes, black hair, and a mustache and beard.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts are asked to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311 or Detective Roylen Valera at 326-4646 ext. 268.

Tipsters who wish to remain anonymous may call the islandwide Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300. All information will be kept confidential.
