The following temporary road closures have been announced by the State of Hawai’i Department of Transportation for Monday, April 27 through Friday, May 1 between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Alternating single lane closures along Route 11, Mamalahoa Highway, will occur in both directions between mile markers 106 and 107. Roadway pavement reconstruction near Honaunau is the cause of the partial closure.

From Pepeekeo to Hakalau, a single lane closure will occur in both directions as roadway improvements are made. The closures will take place between mile markers 10 and 15.6 along Hawai’i Belt Road, also known as Route 19.

Continuous activity on Umauma Bridge in Hakalau will cause alternating lane closures on Route 19, near mile marker 16, to remain on a seven-day-a-week, twenty-four-hour schedule as bridge rehabilitation work is underway. Speed on the bridge is reduced to 20 miles per hour.

All lane closures are weather permitting and have the possibility of changing without notice.
