Though East Hawai`i gas prices have remained relatively stable over the last week, the long-term trend reveals a steady decline.

On Monday, April 27, the AAA Fuel Gauge Report averaged regular gas in East Hawai‘i at $3.06 per gallon.  The reported average is down three cents from yesterday, and is a two cent increase over last week.  On the same day last month, AAA reported the average cost of regular gas at $3.13 per gallon.

Statewide, the current average is $3.09 for a gallon of regular, down five cents from one month ago.  Prices have fallen statewide from about $3.50 per gallon since January, according to data provided by GasBuddy.com.
