High School Teachers to be Honored for STEM Contributions

The Hawai‘i Island Honors Committee will be honoring two unsung heroes in the community at an inaugural banquet on Friday, May 8, at 6 p.m.
Waiakea High School teachers Dale Olive and Eric Hagiwara will be recognized for their contributions to youth in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) fields at the University of Hawai‘i at Hilo Campus Center Dining Room. The banquet event is themed “Building the Foundation Today for Tomorrow’s Leaders.”
Tickets to attend the event are $40 per person, with sponsorship opportunities available. Completed forms and payments must be submitted by April 25, 2015.
