The average price for a gallon of regular gas in Hilo today, April 15, is $3.11 according to the AAA Fuel Gauge Report.
Today’s average remains steady from last week, as well as the same date last month. One year ago, regular gas averaged $1.04 more at $4.15 per gallon.
Statewide the current average cost of regular gas is $3.09 per gallon, up two cents from a week ago. The current average has fallen by five cents since the same time last month. One year ago, regular gas averaged $4.31 per gallon across the state.
According to the report, the nationwide average is $2.39.
