The State of Hawai’i Department of Transportation has announced the following temporary road closures for Monday, April 6 through Friday, April 10 between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Alternating single lane closures from Pepeekeo to Hakalau will occur as roadway improvements are made. The closures will take place between mile markers 10 and 15.6 along Hawai’i Belt Road, also known as Route 19.

Continued bridge rehabilitation along Umauma Bridge in Hakalau will cause alternating lane closures to run on a seven-day-a-week, twenty-four-hour schedule. The affected area is on Route 19 between Lepolino, mile marker 16, and Kauniho Road. Speed on the bridge has been reduced to 20 miles per hour.

All lane closures are subject to weather conditions and have the possibility of changing.
