UPDATE: Kalanianaole Avenue Waterline Break Repaired

According to the Hawai’i Police Department at 6:40 a.m., the waterline had been repaired and Silva Street had returned to a normal traffic pattern.

Around midnight, the Hawai’i Police Department announced that a waterline break had occurred along Kalanianaole Avenue in Hilo, north of Silva Street.
As a result, water was shut off South of Silva Street and the road was only open to one-way traffic.
