HawCC Adds New Certificates to Accelerated Program
Two new certificates have been added to Hawai’i Community College’s new accelerated online program. After its successful launch of the new accelerated online Business certificates in fall of 2014, HawCC decided to add Geospatial Technologies and Sustainable Lot Design and Preparation to the course offerings.
Each of the new course bundles will consist of four classes that will begin during the week of May 18 and will continue into the fall 2015 semester. The program combines online classes and face-to-face labs, creating a unique learning atmosphere.
The original course of the accelerated program for Business certificates will be offered during the Fall semester. Students interested in the business program can apply now and begin the enrollment process.
“These certificate programs are perfect for those who want to quickly boost their skills and become more valuable in the workplace, or for those who want to gain the skills they need to begin a new career,” said HawCC Chancellor Noreen Yamane. “The flexibility of the online learning makes them highly convenient. In addition, these are for-credit classes, so students who want to continue their studies can count the classes toward certain associate degrees.”
Eight information sessions will be held throughout the Big Island later this month and into April to answer questions and give interested individuals a better understanding of the program.
Interested individuals should visit one of the following sessions:
