Governor Ige Nominates Hidano as Deputy Director of Accounting and General Services

Gov. David Ige has nominated Audrey Hidano for the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Accounting and General Services.

Hidano twice served as Deputy Director of the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, and most recently was the Deputy Director at the Department of Transportation.

She is the co-founder of Hidano Construction, Inc., a general contracting company, and co-owner of Rim-Pac, a construction company. She began her career at Verizon, formerly GTE Hawaiian Tel, as a public affairs analyst.

Hidano is a graduate of the Honolulu Business College and McKinley High School. She is active in several organizations including the Nu`uanu-Punchbowl Neighborhood Board, the Nu`uanu YMCA, the
Hawaii Employer-Union Benefits Trust Fund, and the Building Industry Association.

“Audrey Hidano is an experienced government leader who also understands what it takes to make a small business successful and a community thrive.” Governor David Ige said. “She is a team player and I know she’ll make a positive difference.”

Hidano’s nomination must be approved by Senate confirmation before taking office.
