Bad weather made Hawai’i County Civil Defense’s morning overflight assessment of the June 27 lava flow impossible.

According to Civil Defense, “an assessment will be performed when conditions improve.”

On Tuesday, very little activity had changed and no advancement in the downslope areas of the flow had occurred.

Civil Defense and Hawaiian Volcano Observatory continue to keep a watchful eye on conditions and will inform the public of any changes as they occur.
