Festival to Feature All Things Lilikoi
Do you enjoy the sweet, tart taste of Lilikoi? Well, it’s that time of year and the second annual Lilikoi Festival is just around the corner.
The event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Nani Mau Gardens in Hilo.
Lilikoi fruit will be the star of the event.
Among the many activities the day will present are a cooking contest, cooking demonstrations by celebrity chefs, a silent auction, vendors, educational tables, and keiki activities.
Food and beverages will be created and sold by the chefs at the Nani Mau. The primary ingredient will, of course, be lilikoi.
As you taste the many creations, you can relax and listen to music by Bruddah Waltah and other local artists.
Custom designed lilikoi T-shirts and a revised version of the best-selling “Lilikoilicious Cookbook” will be for sale.
The festival will raise funds for two non-profit organizations, Rainbow Friends Animal Sanctuary and the Center for Spiritual Living building fund.
Entry to the event is $5 for adults and $2 for children under the age of 11.
