Governor Candidate Forum Set for Hilo

Gubernatorial candidates Duke Aiona, Mufi Hannemann, and state Senator David Ige will be in Hilo for a forum on Thursday, Oct. 9 at Sangha Hall.

 

Doors will open at 5 p.m. and the forum will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

 

The public forum will give residents the opportunity to learn about each candidate’s background and their ability to meet the needs of Big Island communities. The gubernatorial hopefuls will also have the opportunity to express their views on statewide issues.

 

This public forum is open to all members of the community free of charge. It is jointly sponsored by the Hawai’i Island Chamber of Commerce, Japanese Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Hawai’i, Hawai’i Island REALTORS, Hawai’i Island Contractors’ Association, Kanoelehua Industrial Area Association, Hawai’i Island Portuguese Chamber of Commerce, and the Big Island Press Club.

 

Food, snacks, and drinks will be sold at the forum.
