Police Search for Missing Kona Teen

Hawaiʻi Island police are searching a Kailua-Kona teen who has been reported missing.
16-year-old Shania Akiona was last seen in the Kona area on July 8.
She is described as being of Hawaiian ethnicity, standing 5 feet, 2 inches tall, weighing 105 pounds with long black hair and brown eyes.
HPD is asking that anyone with information on her location call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at (808)-935-3311.
Persons wishing to remain anonymous can call the island-wide Crime Stoppers line at (808)-961-8300. All information reported to Crime Stoppers remains is held in confidence.
