Hawai`i Island Inmate Reported Missing

Inmate Sean Duyser went missing from the Hale Nani Work Reintegration Center in Hilo at about 3 a.m.  Thursday.

Hawai`i County Police and sheriffs have been notified.

How he escaped is still under investigation.

Duyser, 46, weighs 140 pounds, and is 5 feet, 7 inches tall with brown hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information should contact the Hawai`i County Police Department.

Duyser was serving 60 days for theft in the third degree.

He was supposed to be released on Oct. 20.  Once located, he will face an additional escape charge.

Hale Nani is a community based reintegration program located five miles from Hawai`i Community Correctional Center.
