Forum on Energy Issues Set for Tuesday in Kona

State Rep. Nicole Lowen will lead a discussion on energy issues next week at the West Hawaii Civic Center.
The forum will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 24, at the center’s Council Chambers.
Taking part in the forum will be representatives from Hawaii Electric Light Co., the Blue Planet Foundation and the state Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism.
Topics to be discussed include energy costs, grid modernization, circuit saturation and how to meet energy needs.
Following brief guest speaker presentations, there will be an opportunity for moderated questions for panelists and time for discussion.
